The Tuition Payment Plan (TPP) is an option for students who wish to pay their tuition fees monthly rather than quarterly. Students receiving enough financial aid to cover their tuition fees do not qualify. There is a $60.00 non-refundable application fee due with the application for the 9-month plan and $25.00 for the 3-month plan. The application fee will be billed to your student account.

TPP applies to Tuition Fees for the Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters only. Please contact the On-Campus Housing Office at (831) 459-2394 to arrange a housing payment plan. By signing this application you agree to pay one third of your Tuition Fees monthly whether or not a billing statement is received. You acknowledge by signing this form you are responsible for these deferred fees and that the entire amount will be paid by the last due date of each quarter. (See Billing Schedule at

I, the undersigned, do hereby agree to have my tuition fees, as established by the Regents of the University of California and billed by the Santa Cruz campus, divided into monthly installments. I understand the application fee is non-refundable. I agree to update my address immediately on the student portal, and I maintain responsibility for my account. I understand that if I do not pay by the due date as stated on my Statement of Account, I will be assessed late fees. The first late fee is $50 and subsequent late fees are $15 per billing. I understand that failure to pay may result in the University withholding all services, including class enrollment, tuition and official transcripts. I understand that in the event of non-payment, the University has the right to terminate this agreement and declare the entire balance, plus applicable late fees, due and payable. I understand that tuition fees are subject to change, which may cause an adjustment to my payment plan. I understand that if my student status changes, I am responsible for notifying the Office of the Registrar. Such a change could also result in a change of my payment plan.

I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to the terms and conditions as set forth in this Deferred Payment Plan Application and Payment Agreement. By emailing my electronic signature I understand that the electronic documents and procedures presented on this application will replace the use of paper documents and manual procedures. Electing to Submit by Email will indicate your agreement to the terms and conditions.

Federal Privacy Notice: In accordance with the Federal Privacy Act of 1974, you are hereby notified that disclosure of your Social Security Number is voluntary. This record keeping system was established pursuant to the authority of the Regents of the University of California under Article IX, Section 9 of the California Constitution. The principle uses of the number shall be to verify your identity in the UCSC Student.
