Direct Bank Deposit enables the University to electronically transfer credit balances from your student billing account to your personal checking or savings account. It eliminates the wait time for the mail to arrive and is the most secure method to receive your money. Sign up for direct deposit through your Student Portal.
Sign up for Deferred Payment Plan (for your registration fees)
Deferred payment (DPP) allows you to pay your registration fees in up to 3 monthly installments. Sign up for the current quarter or all academic year (3 quarters). There is a non-refundable application fee of $25.00 a quarter, or all year for $60.00.
Master Promissory Notes Online - Esign
If you have accepted loans at UCSC, you must now complete your promissory note online. Please visit the first time borrower page at the Financial Aid website.
Online Pre-loan Counseling
If you have accepted a student loan at UCSC, it is mandatory that you complete loan entrance counseling. There are two counseling sessions: Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized and ACS/Perkins. You are required to complete both sessions if you have received both types of loans.
Address Updates
New students can update their address information online through the Student Portal . Please update your mailing address to reflect your local Santa Cruz address. Your permanent address should reflect where your parents live or where you lived prior to coming to UCSC. Your billing address should be the address of a third party, or the person responsible for paying your billing statements. Please remember to update your address through your Student Portal at the end of the Spring term, so that Student Business Services will be able to reach you when you are away from school.
